Target audience demographic 

• My target audience is a socially-conscious, 16-25, middle to upmarket demographic.

Why my video will appeal to my target demographic:

My video will appeal to 16-25 year old in multiple ways. The first being the people involved will be young and in my target demographic so therefore will be current, will wear very modern-current clothes and have the right attitude. The next will be the fact the storyline deals with real issues and a serious problem in the 21st century, homophobia. This will tap into the target demographics socially-conscious side as they will be aware of this issue and will want to be apart of a movement which will end it. 

My perfect audience member:

In a world of constant changing and development of technology, more and more sites are being set up so we can communicate with one another, whereas this eases workloads and allows for enhanced communication to be made, the downsides, especially for the younger generation are immense. 

As social media is more present now than ever, more and more teenagers are looking up to so-called 'perfect' influencers and others who edit and change their features to become perfect. This puts pressure on said teenagers to change the way they look, leading to a generation of unhealthy teenagers as some starve themselves to fit into the smallest possible clothes to try and mimic the 'perfect teenager'.

Today's media is saturated with materialistic and fake connotations due to social media sites like Instagram and Facebook which give us the desire to constantly check up on others and try to become like 1 person. Thanks to social media a lot of individuality have been lost as we try to fit into the perfect 'costume' of what a teenager should be in today's society.

As many 16-24-year-olds are still in education or further education it means they have the time and opportunity to get part-time jobs in supermarkets, cafes, clothing shops, etc. This gives them some disposable income to spend on whatever they wish, whether it be clothes or holidays, the possibilities are endless. Due to this new-found independence, it means they buy many materialistic things, such things will be reciprocated in the video so they can relate to it. 

Many teenagers have different likings, the most popular genre being pop. However, now more than ever people are starting to like more alternative music genres as they start to find their own genre.
