Key elements I will include in my website to conform to the expectations of the genre

Key elements I will include in my website to conform to the expectations of the genre Logo The logo I have created is very unique and stands for something which is very typical of the current affairs genre. Most Current Affairs magazines have logo's with complex and depth meanings behind them, often at times taking careful thought and consideration in order to decipher them. My logo will be similar to this, as my logo stands out, it is very pleasing to the eye and it also represents the voices in society that are not heard or listened too and quite often ignored based on who they are and what they stand for.  Mise-en-scene In order to highlight the systematic racism in the US government and justice system, I will consider intertextuality elements like the black lives matter movement logo, the fist in the air. Immediately this will appeal to the target demographic as when they are looking at the website, the socially-aware people will recognise this symbol and knows it stands f...

Plan for both webpages

Plan for both of my  web pages In this document, I will outline both of my pages, including the home, exclusive content and support pages. I will detail the colours, choice of images, fonts, hyperlinks and position of elements I want to use and why I want to use them. Menu bar Will feature four pages these being; Home, exclusive content, support and contact. Each one will be a red colour to fit with the house style then once clicked will have  a red background with a white text, each will be linked to their corresponding pages using hyperlinks.  I will have a social media bar featuring the platforms, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram all of which will be white in colour and will have hyperlinks in order for the user to navigate my website. The background colour for the menu bar will be black to fit with the theme of the page. Underneath the menu bar I will add another box, this time, grey with the text 'outcast magazine-bringing you up-to-date current affairs news' in...

Features I need to use to create my web pages

Features I need to use to create my web pages Make a list of all the things I need to create your web pages including pictures, text and AV elements (audio-visual). I will need at least four different interactive elements on both of the main pages. On the home page, I will use the Logo, close-up of a model, six other images based on other news stories and the two images of the front covers. The exclusive content page will feature two behind the scenes videos and an interview as well as the Dennis logo, an image for the follow us hover box and two images of the models used for both front covers, for the 'meet the model's section'. As the support page is not one of my main pages, no elements of the above will need to be included. I will go more in-depth below. Each of these features must be original in order to adhere to my brief, however, due to the current COVID-19 restrictions it will add challenges and constraints on getting images and audio-visual elements from differen...

Website builder

Website builder As I am an A-Level ICT student I am somewhat up to date with technology and I am usually quick to pick up new technology. With this being said I have decided to use the website builder WIX.com. This is based on a number of factors mainly due to, however, the simplicity of the software. There is an option to chat with a professional if I am unsure of what to do, this is a great help as it will allow me to work remotely and spend more time developing it. Additionally, all tools and functions are neatly displayed on the left-hand side. I cannot stress the simplicity of this website and its functions. It is incredibly user friendly with the easy and helpful templates as well as features such as borders, shapes, text and image editing. WIX.com is a website builder with the aim of creating the user a professional and well-organised website, hence why I have chosen this. This means it has features where you can line up images, shapes and text with one another. This will ...
