Key elements that are included in my video that will conform to the expectation of the protest genre
- The camera quality and shots will be of lower quality as it is not professionally made, However, this is good for my planned video because as a protest video it should not conform to the typical professional camera quality. This means it will attract to a different style of the audience, much like Emeli Sande's "Heaven" video the camera quality is bad to reflect the meaning behind the video, mine will be similar.
- The audience I expect to watch my video are teenagers who do not conform to their typical stereotypes and are different and do not want to be like their peers. As my video will be classed under the alternative genre, then many socially-conscious teenagers will want to view it as it will be different and stick out from the crowd, much like they wish to be.
- Another feature that will conform to the norm of the protest genre is the camera shots will only focus on the top half of the body as I do not want to sexualise anyone for the viewers. This is because the main message behind the video is to raise awareness of Homophobia in the 21st century within the UK.
