Statement of Intent - Current Affairs magazine  Brief chosen: Current Affairs magazine  How do you intend to use the four areas of the media theoretical framework to communicate meaning and meet the requirements of your chosen brief? Product 1 - For my NEA I have chosen to produce two current affairs magazines both with the theme of identity and protest. The first magazine will feature issues relevant to racism, in particular elements of the Black Lives Matter movement. The second magazine will deal with the issue stigma surrounding the LGBTQ community with the aim of normalising LGBTQ relationships in the mainstream media, so, specific representations will be critical to the success of this. The settings will be used to signify and encourage change within the separate communities.
