Formalising plans

Formalising plans  Magazine 1 - Location  My first magazine will be captured around the Whitley Bay seafront area during the midday with the sun in the background. Both the cover image and contents page will be taken at this location. I have chosen this location as not only is it aesthetically pleasing to look at but because it also signifies change as the sun rises and sets each day. This location will have a very natural feel towards it which will relate to my model as it also has connotations to sexuality and that it is and it should be seen by all as a very natural thing if you are part of the LGBTQ community. This will hopefully relate directly to the target audience, especially those of who are struggling with their sexuality.  Magazine 2 - Location  For my second magazine, the images will be taken at Tynemouth Priory castle ruins. Textual analysis of 2 similar magazines to the ones I wish to create The Big Issue: Central image features filmmaker and historian Spike Lee, by having this image on a black background it stresses his importance in standing up for black lives across the world. The Focus on his face also allows the audience to only see his face as it is the most important. The cover line reads 'We can learn from history if we wake up', here he is talking about links to slavery and the persecution of black lives. The direct address to the audience forces them to listen and become more socially-conscious in wanting to help people.  The background is black, so the central image stands out. The black background also has connotations of black lives as this magazine is stressing that black lives do matter by dedicating the whole front cover about them.
